We have recently had many discussions with customers both wholesale and retail with regards to how organic is the organic cotton they purchase.
Our certified organic cotton products are 100% pure but we have found that other products may only be part organic or their manufacturers or wholesalers can't produce a certificate to prove there authenticity.
I asked one customer if you were to buy an apple from a supermarket how do you know it is organic? and if it is only 75% organic which part do you eat and which part do you throw away? she laughed and said "I see your point".
Is is the same for organic cotton baby clothes and bedding if it isn't 100% pure or you can't have a copy of the certificate to prove it is 100% chances are it isn't so why buy it? What purpose can this serve to your baby or your customers baby?
Here a OBL we pride ourselves on our capability to certificate our products, can you current suppliers? if not contact us now on how you can purchase the best.

New Organic Standards Take Effect March 08...
With effect from the end of March 08 the new international standards for Organic cotton processes and manufacture comes into effect worldwide.
The Global Organic Textile Standards (G.O.T.S.) means quite simply that any company not manufacturing their products to G.O.T.S standards will no longer be able to label their products as 100% certified pure organic cotton, Organic Babywear Ltd have obtained this certification and we will continue to be able to supply our goods as 100% Organic and our labels will state just this.
With your baby in mind, purchasing anything less than organic cotton manufactured under G.O.T.S standards would not be in their best interests. Such products would not be made from 100% pure organic cotton and may still contain harmful chemical or pesticides. Only 100% pure is the best for your baby's skin.
